NCIS: Tony & Ziva Series Ends After One Season on Paramount+
The spinoff series NCIS: Tony & Ziva has been cancelled and will not be returning for another season on Paramount+. The decision comes just two months following the release of its Season 1 finale.
Starring Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo in their beloved roles, the series aimed to continue the narrative of Tony and Ziva after their iconic run on NCIS. “We feel incredibly lucky to have had the chance to play these characters once again and to tell the next chapter of Tony and Ziva’s story,” Weatherly and de Pablo expressed in a joint statement. They extended their gratitude to the cast, crew, writers, directors, and producers, as well as fans worldwide who supported their storyline.
NCIS: Tony & Ziva resumed the narrative after Ziva’s presumed death, following Tony’s departure from the NCIS team to raise their daughter. The story took a turn when Ziva was revealed to be alive, eventually leading her to reunite with Tony and their daughter, Tali, in Paris after undertaking one final mission with NCIS.
In the series, Tony and Ziva navigate their life as parents to Tali. However, chaos ensues when Tony’s security company comes under attack, forcing the family to flee across Europe. Along the way, they confront threats to their lives and work to rebuild trust in their relationship, all while seeking a path to their unconventional happily ever after.
The first season featured an ensemble cast that included Amita Suman, Maximilian Osinski, Julian Ovenden, Nassima Benchicou, Lara Rossi, Isla Gie, Terence Maynard, and James D’Arcy. Executive producers of the series included McNamara, de Pablo, Weatherly, Laurie Lieser, Christina Strain, Shelley Meals, and Mairzee Almas, with CBS Studios handling production.
