Melania Trump Launches Film Production Company
Washington, D.C. — First Lady Melania Trump has announced the formation of her new production company, Muse Films. The news was revealed in a low-key post on her X account on November 28, where she shared a short video announcing the venture, referencing her Secret Service code name, Muse.
The initial project from Muse Films will be the documentary titled MELANIA, which has been in production throughout the year. Amazon MGM Studios acquired the distribution rights for the documentary, reportedly at a cost of $40 million. It is set to premiere in theaters worldwide on January 30, 2026.
The announcement has drawn attention due to its understated nature, contrasting with the publicized launches that often accompany projects from the Trump family. Traditionally, Melania Trump has been active in attending events and inaugurations alongside President Donald Trump.

Two existing production companies already operate under the name Muse Films—one affiliated with Amazon in Europe and another in the United States that has produced titles such as The Virgin Suicides, American Psycho, and Spring Breakers. However, it is currently unclear whether Melania Trump’s Muse Films will collaborate with these companies or function independently.
The documentary, MELANIA, is touted to provide "unprecedented access" to the 20 days leading up to the 2025 Presidential Inauguration, offering a glimpse into the First Lady-elect’s perspective. According to Amazon MGM, the film will showcase her role in planning inauguration events and managing the complexities associated with the White House transition.
"Including exclusive footage of critical meetings and private conversations, MELANIA reveals Mrs. Trump’s return to one of the world’s most prominent positions," Amazon MGM stated.
Furthermore, the deal encompasses distribution rights for a subsequent multi-episode series, expanding the reach of Trump’s story beyond the initial documentary.

Brett Ratner will direct the documentary, marking his return to film after facing multiple allegations of sexual misconduct. Ratner has denied these allegations.
As MELANIA approaches its theatrical release, it is expected to draw significant interest in light of its high-profile subject and behind-the-scenes look at the First Lady’s life during a pivotal moment in American history.
