77-Year-Old Woman Charged with Vandalizing Tesla in Burbank
A 77-year-old woman has been arrested for felony vandalism after allegedly damaging a Tesla in Burbank.
According to Burbank police, officers were dispatched to the 200 block of West Elmwood Avenue around 10 a.m. on December 12 following a report from a Tesla owner. The woman claimed her gray 2023 Tesla Model 3 had been deliberately scratched on the driver’s side while parked on the street, with damages estimated at over $1,000.
Upon reviewing surveillance footage, officers observed a woman using a sharp object to intentionally scratch the vehicle. The suspect was later identified as Socorro Castillo, a resident of Burbank.
This incident raises questions about vehicle vandalism in the area and highlights the importance of surveillance in resolving such cases.
