Zendaya Stars in New Louis Vuitton Campaign Celebrating the Speedy Bag
Zendaya is once again turning heads as she features in a fresh campaign for Louis Vuitton, spotlighting the iconic Speedy bag. Notably, she debuts a new curly pixie cut and a striking plunging blazer from the luxury brand.
On February 4, Louis Vuitton unveiled its latest campaign featuring the Euphoria actor and long-time brand ambassador, reinforcing her status as a fashion icon. The project, captured by photographer Glen Luchford and directed by Roman Coppola, celebrates 130 years of the renowned Louis Vuitton Monogram.
In the campaign, Zendaya pays homage to the Speedy bag, a staple in fashion that has evolved over the decades, showcasing its versatility and significance in artistic collaborations. Dressed in a pinstripe vest and trousers from the luxury house, she is positioned alongside the classic monogrammed duffle, illustrating a meeting of icons.
Her influence extends beyond just fashion, as her striking new hairstyle—a curly pixie cut—has already inspired many fans and may lead to increased visits to salons.
As a press release from Louis Vuitton detailed, the Speedy bag originated in the early 1930s, designed as "an expression of modernity and the freedom of movement," featuring signature handles that embodied "the spirit of a generation on the move." Although it debuted as soft luggage, it was not until 1959 that it was adorned with the Monogram.
This campaign is not the first for Zendaya regarding the Speedy silhouette; in December 2024, she became the face of the Louis Vuitton x Takashi Murakami collaboration, where she posed alongside the Keepall, Venice, and Speedy models.
