Zendaya Shines at ‘The Drama’ NYC Premiere in a Stunning Feathered Gown in 27 Shades of Blue
Zendaya Dazzles in Custom Gown at “The Drama” Premiere in New York City
Zendaya made a striking appearance at the New York City premiere of her latest film, “The Drama,” on Thursday night. The actress donned a stunning strapless black and blue feathered gown by Schiaparelli Haute Couture, effectively honoring a classic bridal tradition she has embraced during the film’s press tour.
The gown, comprised of 65,000 silk feathers in 27 different shades of blue and black, accentuated Zendaya’s fashion-forward aesthetic. She completed the look with elegant silver and blue earrings and a bold matching ring on her hand.
The actress styled her hair slicked back and opted for a light makeup look, complemented by matching blue eyeshadow. This appearance aligned with the notable framework of “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue,” a concept orchestrated by Zendaya and her stylist, Law Roach, during their promotional activities.
Earlier in the month at the Los Angeles premiere, Zendaya wore her “something old” — a white Vivienne Westwood gown she first showcased at the 2015 Oscars, an outfit that drew attention after remarks made by Giuliana Rancic regarding her hairstyle.
In Paris, she embraced the “something new” with a backless white Louis Vuitton gown adorned with a dramatic black bow train. For her “something borrowed,” she wore a black Armani Privé gown previously owned by Cate Blanchett during the Rome premiere.

Throughout the tour, through a mix of romantic and dramatic fashion choices — such as shredded tulle and tailored menswear — Zendaya has kept fans speculating about her personal life. Roach mentioned at the SAG Actor Awards that Zendaya and her fiancé, Tom Holland, are married, stating, “The wedding has already happened.” Zendaya, for her part, has remained discreet, occasionally substituting her engagement ring for a simpler gold band.
“The Drama,” which portrays an engaged couple’s relationship unraveling on the brink of their wedding, is set to hit theaters on Friday.
