ZAYN’s ‘Die for Me’ Selected as This Week’s Top New Music by Fans

“Die for Me,” the latest single by ZAYN, has emerged as the leading choice in this week’s fan-voted music poll.
In a poll published on Friday, February 6, music enthusiasts selected the former One Direction member’s track as their favorite release.
“Die for Me” debuts in a week marked by several notable music releases, including new tracks from Tame Impala, Jennie, J. Cole, Nick Jonas, and sombr. The single captured an impressive 80% of the vote.
This R&B-pop single, accompanied by a music video, precedes the upcoming release of Konnakol, ZAYN’s fifth solo studio album. The album is set for an April 17 release through Mercury Records/Island Records U.K., following his 2024 project, Room Under the Stairs.
“It’s that time again, I have been lucky enough to make a fifth studio album,” ZAYN stated in a press release. “Konnakol in its definition is the act of creating percussive sounds with one’s voice, but what it means to me lies somewhere much deeper. It is a sound that holds the reverberation of a time before words existed.”
ZAYN further shared, “I have always drawn on my heritage for inspiration since I first started making my own music — this album is a development of that understanding, knowing more now than ever, who I am, where I come from and where I intend to go.”
Shortly after announcing Konnakol, ZAYN revealed the schedule for the Konnakol Tour, which will kick off on May 12 in Manchester, England. The tour includes performances at various arenas and stadiums across the U.K., Mexico, North America, and South America.
Other new releases that trailed behind “Die for Me” include Tame Impala and Jennie’s “Dracula” remix, garnering 9% of the vote; J. Cole’s album, The Fall-Off, with 3%; Nick Jonas’ Sunday Best, attracting 2%; and sombr’s “Homewrecker,” which also received 2%.
