Zach Bryan and his wife, Samantha Leonard, shared a poignant moment on their wedding day in December, highlighted by a heartfelt tribute to Bryan’s late mother, Annette.
On January 5, Bryan revealed via Instagram that Leonard incorporated lace from his mother’s wedding dress into her bridal gown. He shared a joyful photo of Leonard as she prepared for the ceremony, noting, “Samantha went out of her way to put my mom’s wedding dress lace on her dress.”
Expressing his emotions, Bryan added, “I cried for a good bit. Meant so much sweetheart, thank you.” He also honored his mother by posting a photograph of her on her wedding day, writing, “Wish you were here about now gorgeous.”
The couple tied the knot just before the New Year, with Leonard posting stunning photos from their wedding in Spain on Instagram. Bryan also shared a picture of them in their wedding attire, quoting his idol Bruce Springsteen: “Tougher than the rest.”
This news took fans by surprise, as they learned of Bryan’s relationship with Leonard only after spotting them together in the summer of 2025. Prior to this, Bryan was married to Rose Madden from 2020 to 2021 and had a relationship with podcaster Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia from 2023 to 2024, during which LaPaglia made allegations of emotional abuse against him.
Bryan has consistently voiced the significance of his mother in his life, making Leonard’s gesture even more meaningful. In November 2024, after releasing his song “This World’s a Giant,” he reflected on a visit to Annette’s grave in Oklahoma, eight years after her passing in 2016. He shared, “I came to realize just like in the past, that she never would call me again.” He recounted his struggles and triumphs over the years, including his acceptance into a master’s program in Paris and cherished memories with friends and family.
Bryan’s new album, With Heaven On Top, is slated for release on January 9.
