Donald Faison and Zach Braff, well-known for their roles in the series Scrubs, are not just co-stars but also longtime friends. During a recent interview, Faison made it clear that there’s one important aspect of Braff’s life he wants the public to know.
“This is a single man who is very, very handsome,” Faison shared with PEOPLE during their photoshoot for the Sexiest Man Alive issue. Braff quickly interjected, questioning the relevance of Faison’s comment. Undeterred, Faison insisted, “Someone out there is going to see this [issue] and be like, ‘What a handsome young man this is!’” To which Braff responded with a laugh, “You’re like an old Jewish grandmother right now!”

Amid the banter, Braff reflected on what he finds attractive in a partner. “I mean obviously there’s the initial ‘Am I attracted to this person?’ But for me now, being funny and laughing with the person is the sexiest thing,” he explained.
When Faison announced to his wife, CaCee Cobb, and their children, Rocco and Wilder, that he would be featured in the issue, their reactions varied. Faison recounted, “My kids were like ‘What? For what?’ Meanwhile, my wife joked, ‘There’s the Sexiest Man Alive,’ and I knew she didn’t mean it. I don’t consider myself sexy,” he admitted.

Braff, however, disagrees, stating, “I think you’re very sexy.” Faison appreciated the compliment, responding, “And if PEOPLE thinks it, I’ll take it.” Braff also serves as godfather to Faison’s children but noted their friendship could use more time together.
“I don’t see them much; they’re very busy,” Braff admitted. Faison humorously countered, “Let’s keep it 100—he’s not the biggest kid person on the planet.” Braff quickly defended himself, asserting he does like kids—just when they’re quiet.

Faison’s children were described by Braff as “beautiful, wonderful,” and showcasing unique talents in dance and basketball. He noted, “Donald is a very good dad,” adding a humorous remark about Faison’s constant attendance at basketball games.
Beyond his parenting duties, Faison described himself as a devoted husband, akin to his character Turk. “Turk is completely in love with his wife, and I am that. I’m the guy who doesn’t like arguing with his wife because I know I’ll have to apologize afterward,” he laughed.

The duo is set to reprise their beloved roles in a highly anticipated reboot of Scrubs, scheduled to air on ABC in February. Faison teased the excitement surrounding the return, stating, “You’re following your favorite doctors, your heroes to some people. I think whatever is going on in their life is interesting to quite a few people, and people want to find out.”
