YouTube Announces Exciting Upfronts Lineup Featuring Trevor Noah, Chappell Roan, Kareem Rahma, and Quenlin Blackwell
YouTube is set to return to the Upfronts with a new lineup of creators, marking a significant event in the digital landscape. The Google-owned platform will host its Brandcast on May 13 at Lincoln Center in New York City.
The event will be emceed by Trevor Noah, a popular figure with 4.5 million subscribers on YouTube, who recently premiered his feature-length stand-up special, The Lost South African Show. Joining him will be a variety of popular creators, including Dude Perfect, Jesser, Adam W, Quenlin Blackwell, Morgan Jay, Alex Cooper, Ashley Alexander, and Kareem Rahma, along with the Savannah Bananas. Additionally, Chappell Roan is scheduled to perform.
During the Brandcast, YouTube CEO Neal Mohan and Google President Sean Downey will highlight the platform’s dominance in streaming, asserting its position as "the number one streamer in the U.S." and discussing its role as the future of media.
This announcement coincides with other major media events, as rival broadcasters and streamers unveil their plans. NBCUniversal is slated to return to Radio City Music Hall on May 11, the same day Amazon will hold its event at the Beacon Theatre. Warner Bros. Discovery had initially planned to host an upfront for Discovery Global on May 13, but changes may occur following Paramount’s acquisition of the entire company.
