Ye to Headline Special One-Night Concert at SoFi Stadium
Ye to Headline Rare LA Show at SoFi Stadium
Controversial rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, is set to take the stage at Inglewood’s SoFi Stadium for a highly anticipated performance on April 3. This concert, titled “Ye: Live in Los Angeles,” is being promoted as the artist’s only show in the city this year and is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
The event coincides with the release of Ye’s upcoming album, “Bully,” which is slated for launch on March 27. Fans are encouraged to pre-save the album on the artist’s website to enter for a chance to purchase tickets, with a few lucky pre-registrants receiving them for free.
Ticket Information and Sales
Ticket presales commenced on Tuesday via Ticketmaster, with prices starting at approximately $715 as of 4 p.m. that day. General sales will open at 10 a.m. on March 11.
Venue and Capacity Details
SoFi Stadium, the home of the Los Angeles Rams and Chargers, has a seating capacity of around 70,000, with potential expansion to accommodate up to 100,000 attendees. The stadium is also set to host several high-profile events, including eight FIFA World Cup 2026 matches, Super Bowl LXI on February 14, 2027, and the 2028 Olympics.
Addressing the Backlash
Ye has been in the spotlight for his recent controversies, particularly regarding antisemitic remarks made in 2022. In a January 26 full-page ad in The Wall Street Journal, he publicly apologized, attributing his actions to an undiagnosed brain injury and mental health challenges.
Performances by Ye have become increasingly rare over the past few years. He recently held two shows in Mexico in January and last headlined in Los Angeles during the Rolling Loud California festival in March 2024. That performance was noted more as a “listening experience” alongside Ty Dolla $ign rather than a traditional concert.
In additional legal matters, Ye is currently facing a lawsuit in Los Angeles from a contractor alleging he failed to fully compensate for work on his Malibu residence. A verdict is expected to be announced this Wednesday.
