Xavier Samuel Joins the Cast of Prime Video’s ‘Bishop’ as a Series Regular
Xavier Samuel, known for his roles in Send Help and Twilight: Eclipse, has officially joined the cast of Bishop, a forthcoming thriller drama series on Prime Video. The series is co-created by Little Marvin and Tony Saltzman, in collaboration with Vertigo and Amazon MGM Studios.
In Bishop, viewers will follow homicide detective Bishop Graves, portrayed by Joel Kinnaman. Characterized as both brilliant and battle-scarred, Graves will utilize his extensive skills to track down a cunning killer targeting the affluent of San Francisco. As the killer attracts a devoted following among the city’s underprivileged, Graves becomes increasingly convinced that these murders are linked to his father, Lincoln Graves, played by John Malkovich.
Samuel is set to play Anthony "Ant" Graves, the younger brother of Bishop Graves.
The ensemble cast also features Jennifer Jason Leigh as Jillian Graves, Lincoln Graves’ sister and Bishop’s aunt; Jordana Brewster as Kat Claiborne, a seasoned inspector with the San Francisco Police Department; and Harry Treadaway as Wyatt.
Little Marvin serves as the showrunner for Bishop. He and Saltzman are executive producers alongside Roy Lee and Miri Yoon of Vertigo. This project is part of Little Marvin’s overall deal with Amazon MGM Studios, with Felicia Fasano credited as the casting director.
Samuel’s recent work includes appearances in AMC’s The Last Anniversary, Disney+’s The Stolen Girl, and Netflix’s Apple Cider Vinegar. His extensive filmography also features titles such as Blonde, Disney+’s The Clearing, Elvis, Prime Video’s Tell Me Your Secrets, and Love and Friendship. He is represented by UTA, Entertainment 360, Shanahan Management in Australia, and Independent Talent in the UK.
