Woman Charged with Identity Theft in Senior Loan Fraud Case Involving $100,000
Woman Arrested for Allegedly Stealing Identities of Seniors to Secure Fraudulent Loans
A woman has been arrested in connection with the theft of identities from five elderly individuals, allowing her to obtain over $100,000 in fraudulent loans from Citibank. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced the arrest of 47-year-old Candice Dale Patrick on February 25, on charges of grand theft of money and property. She is currently being held on a bond of $1 million.
According to the county prosecutor’s office, all of the victims were over the age of 70. The department revealed that Patrick is also suspected of possessing personal identification information from several additional individuals.
The fraudulent activities reportedly took place between September 2021 and April 2024.
