Winners Announced for the 37th Annual PGA Awards
The 37th annual Producers Guild of America (PGA) Awards revealed its first set of winners on Thursday, highlighting accomplishments in the Children’s, Sports, Short Form, and Innovation categories.
These announcements pave the way for the main PGA Awards ceremony set to take place on Saturday in Los Angeles.
In a notable shift, the PGA’s annual East Coast celebration, which was scheduled for Monday night at Lincoln Ristorante in New York, has been canceled due to the historic blizzard impacting the region.
This weekend’s ceremony will also honor three prominent figures within the industry. Jason Blum of Blumhouse will receive the Milestone Award, while Amy Pascal, renowned for her work on the Spider-Verse franchise and a three-time Oscar nominee, is set to receive the David O. Selznick Achievement Award. Mara Brock Akil, known for creating and writing The Game and Girlfriends, will be presented with the Norman Lear Achievement Award.
The winners announced on Thursday are as follows:
- The producing team for Sesame Street was awarded Outstanding Children’s Program.
- The producing team for Formula 1: Drive to Survive received the honor of Outstanding Sports Program.
- The producing team for Adolescence: The Making of Adolescence won Outstanding Short Form Program.
- Lastly, the producing team for The Wizard of Oz at Sphere was recognized with the PGA Innovation Award, which celebrates exceptional entertainment ventures across virtual reality, augmented reality, and other emerging media.
