Willie Nelson Shares Exciting News About His New Album Dream Chaser and Spring 2026 Tour Dates
As Willie Nelson approaches his 93rd birthday next month, the legendary artist shows no signs of slowing down. He recently announced the release of his new album, Dream Chaser, marking his 79th solo studio LP and 156th overall. The title track can be streamed now, ahead of the album’s release on May 29th.
Dream Chaser represents a continued collaboration with producer and co-writer Buddy Cannon, with whom Nelson has created nearly 20 albums in the last 13 years. One highlight from the album, “I Can’t Read Your Mind,” was co-written with Bob Dylan before Cannon completed the song. Pre-orders for the album are currently available.
The song “Dream Chaser” offers listeners a reflection on the swift passage of time, with Nelson crooning, “Wasn’t I just a kid moving to Tennessee? Chasing a crazy dream/ Time just seems to vanish/ Right before my eyes.”
In conjunction with the album announcement, Nelson revealed a limited run of spring 2026 tour dates, kicking off on April 22nd in Birmingham, Alabama. He will also perform in Atlanta and in the North Carolina cities of Asheville, Cary, and Wilmington.
A pre-sale for Club Luck members is currently underway, while a Live Nation pre-sale for select dates starts on Thursday, March 19th, at 10:00 a.m. local time. General ticket sales will open to the public on Friday, March 20th, at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.
Prior to the album release, Nelson is set to host his annual Luck Reunion during SXSW on March 19th, featuring performances by Booker T. Jones, Robert Lester Folsom, Trampled by Turtles, and St. Vincent.
