Whitney Leavitt is set to make her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in the renowned musical Chicago on February 2, 2026. The star, best known for her role in Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, recently shared an exclusive first look at her performance.
Leavitt’s journey from the suburbs of Utah to one of Broadway’s most prestigious stages culminates in less than two weeks. She expressed her excitement, stating, “I’m feeling a rollercoaster of emotions.”
The reality TV personality gained further fame as a semifinalist in the 34th season of Dancing with the Stars. After her elimination last fall, Leavitt learned about her new role shortly after, having submitted audition tapes while filming. According to Leavitt, the first person she informed about her successful audition was her DWTS partner, Mark Ballas, who once portrayed Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys.
“We were together when I found out; he was just so ecstatic and so excited for me,” Leavitt recalled.

Ballas has remained a pivotal support for Leavitt throughout her rehearsal process, offering advice on both practical aspects, like vocal care, and broader concepts, such as embracing the moment. “He saw the work that I put into it,” she said. “He was also such a huge advocate and motivator for me to go after it and really give it my all.”
The pair recently reunited in New York City, where they filmed a video outside the Ambassador Theatre. Leavitt playfully requested that Ballas not attend her opening night performance to allow her to work through any initial challenges. However, she is aware that he, along with members of her Mormon Wives cast and family, will be there to support her.
