When Calls The Heart is Back for Season 14 with Lori Loughlin’s Return
Ahead of the highly anticipated Season 13 premiere on January 4, Hallmark Channel has officially renewed When Calls the Heart for a 14th season, with production set to commence next year for a return in 2027.
Original cast member Lori Loughlin, known for her roles in Curb Your Enthusiasm and On Call, will reprise her beloved character Abigail Stanton, appearing in six of the upcoming 12 episodes, as announced by the network.
“Since the series debuted in 2014, the character of Abigail Stanton has been a fan favorite among the Hearties,” said Michelle Vicary, Head of Programming at Hallmark Media. “At its core, the Hallmark brand represents hope, positivity, and connection, which aligns perfectly with the central theme of When Calls the Heart. We believe that Season 14 is the ideal time to continue Abigail’s journey within this cherished series.”
Based on Janette Oke’s novel, When Calls the Heart features a stellar cast including Erin Krakow, Kevin McGarry, Jack Wagner, Chris McNally, Pascale Hutton, and Kavan Smith. The story follows Elizabeth (Krakow), a cultured schoolteacher from the early 1900s who leaves her comfortable urban life for a new beginning in a frontier town.
