What You Need to Know About Pharrell Williams and His Four Kids

Pharrell Williams has quickly become a father of four, following the arrival of triplets in his family.
The two-time Grammy winner welcomed his first son, Rocket Williams, with his wife, Helen Lasichanh, in 2008. Nearly a decade later, in 2017, the couple welcomed triplets. Williams and Lasichanh, who tied the knot in 2013 after being together for over five years, have largely kept their private lives under wraps while sharing their joy of parenting.
Though Williams, who serves as the creative director for Louis Vuitton’s menswear line, has kept his triplets’ names private, he has publicly celebrated moments with Rocket. Notably, the father-son duo threw the first pitch at a New York Yankees game in 2022.
In June 2023, the family made a rare public appearance at Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2024 runway show in Paris, marking Williams’ debut in his creative role with the brand. Clad in matching suits, the family was seen embracing Williams as he received a standing ovation.
During promotions for his animated documentary, Piece by Piece, which features his family, Williams expressed deep gratitude for his children. "It’s interesting, man. It’s interesting. It’s different. It’s a whole other thing…I’m 51. I love it. I love my children. I love watching them. I love that they exist," he remarked.

Williams and Lasichanh welcomed Rocket in November 2008. In a 2014 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Williams elaborated on the meaning behind his son’s name, comparing it to how Indigenous cultures name their children after powerful forces. He noted that Rocket’s name was inspired by iconic songs from Stevie Wonder, Elton John, and Herbie Hancock.
Despite a low public profile, Rocket has occasionally appeared on his father’s social media. He participated in a recent family trip to Egypt and has joined his parents at various events, including Williams’ first Louis Vuitton show. In August 2022, the pair threw the first pitch at a Yankees game together.

The names of Williams and Lasichanh’s triplets, now 9 years old, remain undisclosed. However, their birth was confirmed in January 2017, with a representative stating, "Pharrell, Helen and Rocket Williams have welcomed triplets. The family is happy and healthy!"
The following month, the couple walked the red carpet at the Oscars, where they received three crocheted rocket toys from Ryan Seacrest. Williams expressed delight at this public acknowledgment of their new additions.
Over the years, Williams has candidly shared insights into parenting triplets. In a 2017 interview, he notably praised Lasichanh’s unwavering commitment, saying, "My wife is SEAL Team Six — there’s nothing she can’t do." He also mentioned the harmonious nature of his triplets, joking about their tendency to cry in sync.
As the triplets reach their formative years, Williams expressed joy in parenting, stating, “We love being with the babies. It’s crazy. And all of my babies are creative — we have to protect that.” The trio made an appearance at Williams’ Louis Vuitton show, wearing matching camouflage suits to support their father.
