City and Southern Section Baseball and Softball Results

In a series of thrilling matchups, multiple teams showcased impressive performances in both baseball and softball across the City and Southern Sections.

Baseball Highlights

City Section:

• Bravo triumphed over LA Wilson with a final score of 4-2.
• Chavez defeated Arleta 7-2, while El Camino Real secured a 9-3 victory against Cleveland.
• Granada Hills dominated Chatsworth, winning 12-1, and LA Marshall shut out Lincoln 10-0.
• LA Roosevelt outscored Huntington Park 11-4, and Maya was victorious against Los Angeles, winning 12-2.
• Northridge Academy showcased a strong performance, defeating Panorama 15-3.
• Additional wins include: Palisades 3, LACES 1; Roybal 18, RFK Community 1; San Pedro 13, Wilmington Banning 5; and SOCES 7, Fulton 0.

Southern Section:

• Arlington narrowly defeated Moreno Valley, 3-2, with Bellflower topping Cerritos 7-4.
• Bonita emerged victorious against Diamond Bar, 5-2, while Cajon dominated Beaumont 7-0.
• California defeated El Rancho 6-3, and Cantwell-Sacred Heart edged out Channel Islands 2-1.
• Charter Oak secured a close win against Rowland, 15-13, and Chino Hills defeated Upland 5-3.
• In other games, Cypress bested La Habra 14-3, and Damien shut out Rancho Cucamonga 2-0, among others.

Softball Highlights

City Section:

• Chavez overwhelmed Arleta with a score of 9-0, and Diego Rivera triumphed over Angelou 14-9.
• Granada Hills Kennedy emerged victorious against Verdugo Hills 4-1, while Hawkins delivered a staggering 34-13 victory over Crenshaw.
• LA Jordan won a tightly contested game against Washington Prep, finishing 14-13.
• Other notable wins include: Marquez 14, Sotomayor 0; Maywood Academy 22, Torres 4; SOCES 32, Fulton 0; and Van Nuys 21, Monroe 4.

Southern Section:

• Anaheim cruised to a 16-2 win over Loara, with Apple Valley dominating Ridgecrest Burroughs 21-1.
• Azusa secured a close win against Nogales, finishing at 17-15, while Bolsa Grande achieved an impressive 29-0 victory over Estancia.
• Other highlights include Riverside North defeating Arlington 7-4 and Ramona topping Norte Vista 18-0.
