Los Angeles Police Investigate Smash-and-Grab Incident at Sherman Oaks Macy’s
Los Angeles police are currently probing a smash-and-grab incident at the Macy’s store located in the Westfield Mall in Sherman Oaks, which occurred Wednesday evening.
Officers were dispatched shortly after 7:10 p.m. following reports of a possible shooting at the store on the 14000 block of Riverside Drive. Upon arrival, however, they discovered that the incident involved a break-in targeting watches, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
Upon inspection of the scene, police noted that broken glass from eight display cases was scattered throughout the store, leading to the closure of the affected area. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported in connection with the incident.
Authorities revealed that the suspects fled the scene in a white Lexus, although no descriptions of the individuals involved have been released. Investigators remain on-site to gather further evidence and details regarding the incident.
