This week’s New Music Friday highlighted significant comebacks in the music industry.
Kacey Musgraves released “Dry Spell,” the lead single from her upcoming album, Middle of Nowhere. This marks her first studio album since the Grammy-winning Deeper Well in 2024. The song offers a glimpse into a 13-track project that features collaborations with notable artists such as Willie Nelson, Billy Strings, Gregory Alan Isakov, and Miranda Lambert. Middle of Nowhere is set to be released on May 1 through the revived Lost Highway Records.
The Pussycat Dolls also made headlines with the release of “Club Song,” their first single in six years, alongside the announcement of a world tour. The PCD Forever Tour will include over 50 dates across the U.K., Europe, and North America. Special guests for the tour include Grammy winners Lil’ Kim and Mýa. The reunion will feature founding members Nicole Scherzinger, Kimberly Wyatt, and Ashley Roberts, while three original members—Melody Thornton, Jessica Sutta, and Carmit Bachar—will not participate.
Several other new singles hit the charts this week, including tracks from Noah Kahan (“Porch Light”), Momo Boyd (“Strong”), Luke Combs (“I Ain’t No Cowboy”), Vybz Kartel and Shenseea (“Talk to Me Nuh”), Samara Cyn (“Oooshxt!”), Lainey Wilson (“Can’t Sit Still”), 50 Cent and Leon Thomas (“No One Told Us”), Shaggy and Robin Thicke (“Looking Lovely”), Sienna Spiro (“The Visitor”), and Kenya Grace (“Naked”).
Jack Harlow surprised fans with his new album, Monica, his first project since 2023’s Jackman. The album features nine tracks recorded at Electric Lady Studios in New York City, where Harlow explores a softer sound, trading his signature rap style for an R&B-inspired vocal approach reminiscent of the Soulquarian era.
Meanwhile, Grammy-winning artist James Blake released a new album titled Trying Times, and Los Angeles alt-pop band LANY offered Soft 2, an expanded edition of their 2025 LP. Charlie Puth, who performed the national anthem at Super Bowl LX on February 8, unveiled his album Whatever’s Clever, while Netherlands-born R&B artist Leven Kali shared his project, LK99.
Fans of new music can participate in Billboard’s New Music Friday poll to share their favorite release from the week.
