Vin Diesel Created a Special Role for Cristiano Ronaldo in the Last ‘Fast & Furious’ Film
Vin Diesel Welcomes Cristiano Ronaldo to Final Fast & Furious Film
As the iconic Fast & Furious franchise heads toward its conclusion, Vin Diesel is adding a significant new talent to its vibrant ensemble cast. On Friday, Diesel, who serves both as a producer and star of the action series, announced that Cristiano Ronaldo will make his debut in the upcoming twelfth and final installment, Fast X: Part 2. The film is set to premiere in April 2027, a detail Diesel revealed alongside an Instagram photo featuring the two stars.
"Everyone asked, would he be in the Fast mythology… I gotta tell you he is a real one. We wrote a role for him," Diesel commented in his social media post.
Diesel had previously indicated in February 2024 that the next installment would be the final one in the franchise. He described this concluding chapter as “not just an ending; it’s a celebration of the incredible family we’ve built together.”
Since its inception in 2001, the franchise has boasted a diverse cast that includes notable figures such as Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, Charlize Theron, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Momoa, Helen Mirren, Cardi B, John Cena, Jason Statham, Gal Gadot, Ludacris, Bow Wow, and Vanessa Kirby, among others.
Earlier this year, Diesel revealed that production for the finale will return to Los Angeles following the devastating wildfires that impacted the area in January. This marks a significant chapter for the franchise as it prepares to close a long-standing and beloved saga.
