Victoria Beckham and Brooklyn Beckham’s Wedding: Insights from the DJ’s Perspective

DJ Fat Tony addressed the ongoing feud within the Beckham family, centering on an incident involving Brooklyn Beckham, who accused his mother, Victoria Beckham, of overshadowing his first dance with his wife, Nicola Peltz, at their 2022 wedding.
In an appearance on ITV’s This Morning on January 23, the U.K.-based DJ provided his perspective on the situation. “Yes, I was the DJ at the wedding. It wasn’t a one-day wedding; it was a three-day wedding,” he explained. “I did the welcome party, then the wedding, and then the brunch on Sunday, which was the most awkward part because everything that happened the night before was discussed among the guests the following morning.”
Fat Tony also sought to clarify his use of the term “inappropriate.” “What we deem inappropriate is what I’m talking about. You’re speaking to one of the most inappropriate people in the world. If you ever followed me on Instagram, you’ll understand that,” he remarked. “There was no slut-dropping, no black cat PVC catsuits, and no Spice Girl action.”
However, he acknowledged a specific concern: the timing of the moment. “Marc Anthony was performing on stage and called Brooklyn up. Everyone expected Nicola to join him for their first dance. But then Marc called Victoria up,” he recounted. “Brooklyn was devastated because he thought he was going to do his first dance with his wife. Nicola left the room, crying, while Brooklyn was left on stage.”
According to Fat Tony, guests were aware of the unfolding awkwardness. “The whole situation was really uncomfortable for everyone present. I’ve done many parties for the Beckhams in the past. They are a very dance-oriented, close-knit family,” he added. “What is considered inappropriate is up to how Brooklyn feels. If he believed it was inappropriate and awkward, then it was.”
Expressing sympathy for those involved, Fat Tony said, “What we’re missing here is that parents have lost their son, and a son has lost his parents and the rest of his family.”
Recently, Brooklyn took to his Instagram Stories to share his account of the incident, stating, “Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where my romantic dance with my wife was scheduled, but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me.” He noted, “She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone.”
In his lengthy messages, Brooklyn expanded on his claims, alleging that both of his parents were attempting to interfere in his relationship with Peltz. Billboard previously sought comment from Victoria and David Beckham regarding the situation.
