Ventura Police Arrest Three Teens, Including a 16-Year-Old, for Attempted Murder
Three Teens Arrested in Connection with Ventura Shooting
VENTURA, Calif. – Three teenagers are in custody following a multi-agency SWAT operation linked to a January shooting incident in Ventura. According to police, the suspects, all 16-year-old residents of the area, face serious charges, including attempted murder, robbery, and conspiracy.
The investigation began in January 2026, when a victim reported being shot at near Seaward Avenue and Pierpont Boulevard. During a gathering, the suspects allegedly threatened the victim at gunpoint. As the victim attempted to flee, one of the suspects fired a weapon.
Authorities later recovered evidence from the scene and identified the suspects. Detectives executed search warrants at three locations, uncovering additional evidence tied to the crime.
The suspects are currently being held at Juvenile Hall, facing charges that include attempted murder, robbery, false imprisonment, and criminal street gang enhancements. The investigation is still ongoing.
