Vanessa Hudgens Welcomes Her Second Child: Reflecting on the Journey of Labor
Vanessa Hudgens and Cole Tucker Welcome Second Child
Vanessa Hudgens and her husband, Cole Tucker, have welcomed their second child. The actress, known for her role in High School Musical and popular tracks like “Sneakernight” and “Come Back to Me,” shared the news of her newborn’s arrival on Saturday, November 29, via social media.
In a heartfelt post, Hudgens shared a photo from her hospital bed, where she is seen holding hands with Tucker, a former Major League Baseball player who retired in May after playing for the Los Angeles Angels.
“Well…. I did it,” Hudgens wrote in her Instagram caption. “Had another baby!!! What a wild ride labor is. Big shout out to all the moms. It’s truly incredible what our bodies can do.”
The couple first revealed their pregnancy in July with a maternity photo shoot featuring Hudgens’ baby bump. Throughout her pregnancy, she provided fans with glimpses of her journey, including fun costume ideas like dressing as Mother Earth for Halloween and sharing vacation photos from a September wedding in Italy.
Hudgens and Tucker welcomed their first child together in July 2024, while maintaining a level of privacy regarding their family life.
In addition to her growing family, Hudgens was crowned the winner of season 11 of The Masked Singer last year. She is also set to lead in the upcoming 1960s thriller Quiet Storm, directed by Anthony Thorne, who co-stars alongside Mira Sorvino. The film’s production wrapped in July, although post-production updates have yet to be announced. In this role, Hudgens portrays romance novelist Abby Lynche, who navigates personal and societal issues amid the chaos of Hurricane Camille in 1969.
Hudgens’ announcement has drawn attention from fans, who eagerly await more details about her new arrival.
