Two Teens Taken Into Custody at Culver City High School for Reckless Electric Motorcycle Riding
Two Teens Arrested Following Reckless Motorcycle Chase in Beverly Hills
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – Two teenagers were apprehended on April 16 at Culver City High School after a months-long investigation linked them to a reckless driving incident that took place in December 2025.
The Beverly Hills Police Department (BHPD) initiated the investigation following reports of dangerous maneuvers by the suspects on electric motorcycles. On December 10, 2025, officers attempted to stop the teens after witnessing them performing "exhibition stunts." Instead of complying, the youths fled the scene, prompting a coordinated law enforcement effort between Beverly Hills and Culver City.
After four months of investigation, officers identified the suspects and arrested them with support from the Culver City Police Department. The police emphasized their commitment to ensuring road safety.
"The Beverly Hills Police Department will not tolerate reckless or unlawful operation of any vehicle," a BHPD spokesperson stated. "Enforcement efforts will continue to ensure the safety of our community, and individuals who engage in dangerous behavior will be held accountable."
Additionally, authorities are alerting parents and riders about the potential risks associated with the irresponsible operation of electric motorcycles. To enhance safety, the BHPD recommends:
- Operating all electric vehicles with extreme caution.
- Wearing appropriate safety gear, including helmets.
- Strictly adhering to local and state traffic regulations to protect pedestrians and motorists.
Moving forward, the BHPD plans to monitor the increasing use of electric motorcycles in the area to prevent further incidents.
