Two Found Dead in Brentwood Home
Two individuals were discovered deceased Sunday afternoon in a Brentwood residence owned by acclaimed director and actor Rob Reiner, according to multiple law enforcement sources.
The Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed that the victims, a man and a woman aged approximately 78 and 68, were found inside the home.
Detectives from the LAPD’s Robbery Homicide Division are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths. However, several officials from the LAPD indicated that they could not disclose further details at this time. A significant police presence has been noted at the scene throughout Sunday evening.
Emergency responders were called to the residence on Chadbourne Avenue around 3:30 PM. Shortly afterward, LAPD officers were sent to assist with what they termed an "ambulance death investigation," a protocol activated when firefighters discover a fatality.
Neighbors reported that Reiner and his wife reside at the property, and property records confirm their ownership.
