Two Men Attacked in Sun Valley Auto Shop; Two Cars Stolen
Los Angeles Police Investigate Violent Body Shop Assault and Car Theft
LOS ANGELES – A violent incident at a Sun Valley auto body shop late Wednesday night left two men injured and led to the theft of two luxury vehicles. Authorities report that a group of 10 to 12 suspects, at least one armed with a handgun, carried out the assault.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, one victim was pistol-whipped while the other suffered physical abuse during the attack. Police were alerted following a harrowing 911 call and arrived to find one of the victims bleeding from the head. The suspects fled the scene with a Genesis and a white BMW.
Before securing the area, officers had to manage two guard dogs on the property to ensure safety. Investigators believe the victims were specifically targeted, potentially due to a business dispute, although details regarding the nature of that dispute remain unclear.
As of now, there is no detailed physical description of the suspects. The LAPD continues to investigate the incident and is reviewing surveillance footage from the body shop and surrounding businesses in hopes of identifying the attackers and tracing the direction in which the stolen vehicles were driven.
Detectives are actively working to uncover the motive behind the assault and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
