In recent high school baseball and softball matches, teams across various sections showcased strong performances.
In the City Section, notable results include Bravo edging out Marquez with a close score of 6-5. Cleveland defeated Venice 9-4, while Fremont triumphed decisively over Mendez, winning 8-1. Roybal also claimed victory against Gardena with a 10-6 finish, and Sotomayor bested King/Drew, 10-6.
In the Southern Section, AAE dominated CIMSA, winning 22-3. Aliso Niguel narrowly overcame Trabuco Hills, winning 3-2. Arlington handed Temescal Canyon a solid defeat at 10-4. Other key matchups included Arroyo defeating Pasadena Marshall 8-2 and Artesia shutting out Glenn 3-0. Banning won convincingly, 12-0, against Cathedral City, while Bethel Christian achieved a remarkable 25-3 victory over Sherman Indian.
Moving to softball, Southern Section results saw Aliso Niguel triumph over Tesoro 4-0, and Arcadia convincingly defeated Glendale 10-0. Arroyo maintained its dominance with a commanding 24-0 win against Pasadena Marshall. Beaumont edged Indio with a tight 3-2 victory, while an impressive performance from Big Bear led to an 18-9 win over CIMSA.
