In an impressive display of skill and determination, high school baseball and softball teams across the region concluded another action-packed day on Tuesday.
Baseball Scores
In the City Section, Carson triumphed over Venice with a score of 3-1. The Southern Section saw a series of remarkable performances:
- AAE defeated Excelsior Charter, 6-1.
- Adelanto won against Lancaster, 8-3.
- Aliso Niguel earned a 6-2 victory against La Habra.
- Alta Loma topped Redlands East Valley, 11-3.
Other notable results include Clover Hill’s decision over Ayala with a score of 4-1, and Chaparral’s astounding 23-0 win over Eisenhower. Additionally, the matchup between cross-town rivals saw Long Beach Wilson beat Capistrano Valley Christian, 5-2.
Softball Scores
In the City Section, King/Drew showcased a commanding performance, defeating Alliance Ouchi 42-12, while Torres overcame Esperanza College, 28-11.
In the Southern Section, Adelanto dominated Antelope Valley with a 20-1 score, and Agoura easily outpaced Royal, finishing 12-1. Arcadia thoroughly defeated La Canada, 11-0.
The game between Dana Hills and Peninsula was equally impressive as Dana Hills secured a remarkable 19-0 victory. Elsewhere, Bishop Montgomery clinched a decisive 12-1 win over Mary Star of the Sea.
Intersectional Showdowns
In intersectional baseball, Bell narrowly edged Palos Verdes with a score of 1-0, and Millikan delivered a strong performance against Wilmington Banning, winning 5-0.
For softball, Crescenta Valley bested El Camino Real, 2-0, while Legacy shut out Hawthorne with a score of 17-0.
