High School Basketball Results for Tuesday
Boys’ Division
In the City Section, Chatsworth triumphed over Los Angeles with a score of 43-28. Downtown Magnets secured a win against Wilmington Banning, finishing at 55-47, while East College Prep edged past Collins Family, 45-41. The action continued as East Valley narrowly defeated San Fernando, 52-48, and later overwhelmed Sun Valley Magnet, 79-28.
Other notable scores included Harbor Teacher’s victory over New Designs University Park at 49-32, LA Roosevelt’s close win against Franklin, 65-64, and Lincoln’s narrow margin over LA University, resulting in a 74-65 score. Locke defeated Animo Robinson 52-44, while Panorama managed a tight win of 54-50 against Sun Valley Magnet. San Pedro and Sherman Oaks CES both celebrated significant victories against Granada Hills (64-51) and Verdugo Hills (53-48), respectively. View Park also had a commanding 69-52 win against Manual Arts.
In the Southern Section, ACE achieved a solid 65-49 victory over Lakeview Leadership Academy. Other scores included Adelanto’s 58-34 victory over Granite Hills, Aquinas defeating Woodrest Christian 74-52, and Arlington’s decisive win against La Sierra, 51-35.
Chino Hills dominated Upland with a score of 64-51, while the margins were similarly large for California Lutheran, which defeated United Christian Academy 80-29. Laguna Hills had an impressive 90-69 win over Buena Park, and Rancho Cucamonga recorded a notable 79-46 victory against Damien.
Intersectional Matches
In close games, Brawley edged out Palo Verde Academy, 54-52, and Cleveland secured a substantial win over St. Paul, 88-74.
Girls’ Division
In the City Section, Bernstein won against LA Marshall 51-45, and Birmingham bested Granada Hills Kennedy, 54-46. Bolsa Grande came out on top against Rancho Alamitos, winning 50-43, while LA Hamilton dominated Bell with a score of 61-11.
In the Southern Section, notable results included Alemany’s overwhelming 82-29 victory over Marymount and Anaheim’s win against Westminster La Quinta, finishing at 67-14. With other significant matchups, Camarillo defeated Royal 66-25, and Rancho Cucamonga achieved a staggering 90-24 victory against St. Lucy’s.
Intersectional Match
Venice showcased its strength with a 61-51 win over St. Monica, further adding to a day filled with remarkable performances on the court.
