Trump Responds to Criticism from Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens, and Alex Jones Over His Iran War Decision
Donald Trump Criticizes Former Supporters Over Iran Conflict
Former President Donald Trump has publicly denounced four prominent media figures who previously supported him but have recently criticized his handling of the war with Iran and the associated ceasefire agreement.
In a lengthy post on Truth Social, Trump targeted Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens, and Alex Jones, claiming they possess “low IQs” and run "third-rate podcasts." He expressed disbelief over their opposition, particularly regarding what he called Iran’s status as "the Number One State Sponsor of Terror."
Trump stated, "I know why Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens, and Alex Jones have all been fighting me for years… They think it is wonderful for Iran… to have a Nuclear Weapon. They’re stupid people… They’ve all been thrown off Television… nobody cares about them, they’re NUT JOBS, TROUBLEMAKERS… Now they think they get some ‘clicks’ because they have Third Rate Podcasts, but nobody’s talking about them, and their views are the opposite of MAGA."
Since the onset of the Iran conflict, Carlson, Kelly, Owens, and Jones have emerged as outspoken critics from a conservative perspective. Recently, Kelly appeared on Piers Morgan’s show, where she lambasted the ceasefire deal, suggesting that it represented “surrender” by the U.S. She emphasized that the war was a mistake from the start and lamented the resulting fracture within Trump’s support base, stating, "The Trump coalition that got him elected is completely fractured and in smithereens."
In response to Trump’s remarks, Jones described the war in Iran as “a total disaster” and called for the invocation of the 25th Amendment. Owens added her criticism with a pointed remark, suggesting it may be time for Trump to be placed in a care facility.
The conflict has heightened tensions and divided opinions among Trump’s former allies, raising significant questions about his future support within the Republican Party as the political landscape continues to evolve.
