Trevor Noah is set to return as the host of the Grammy Awards for a sixth time, with the ceremony scheduled for February 1. This event marks what Noah describes as his "final time" emceeing the prestigious awards show.
At 41 years old, Noah will also take on the role of executive producer for the event. He has been the face of the Grammy Awards since 2020, and this year’s ceremony will take place at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
Nominations and Expectations
Kendrick Lamar leads the nominations with nine, while Lady Gaga and producers Cirkut and Jack Antonoff follow closely behind with seven each. Artists Bad Bunny, Sabrina Carpenter, and Leon Thomas are each nominated six times, while several others—including Doechii, SZA, Tyler, the Creator, Andrew Watt, and Pusha T—received five nominations.
In a recent interview, Noah revealed his nerves surrounding hosting responsibilities, noting he approaches each awards show and stand-up performance with trepidation. "I always care what happens. I don’t take anything for granted, and I’m never sure that or how a joke will land," he explained. "Telling a joke is like jumping out of an airplane with a parachute…the rest I leave to God."
Reflecting on his experiences, the former host of The Daily Show acknowledged the festive atmosphere of the Grammy Awards. He understands that nominees come to "party and to have a good time," creating a dynamic yet chaotic environment to navigate.
“It’s almost like I’m at a huge party, and I’m trying to work while I’m at the party,” Noah shared. “Where else are you going to get to watch Dua Lipa, Burna Boy, Billie Eilish, you name it, on the same stage? That’s something I don’t take for granted."
The 2026 Grammy Awards will be available for live broadcast on the CBS Television Network and will also be accessible for streaming live and on-demand on Paramount+.
