Tragic Accident in Winnetka Claims Life of Child Due to Suspected Drunk Driver
12-Year-Old Boy Killed in Winnetka, Driver Arrested for Suspected DUI
LOS ANGELES – A tragic accident in the Winnetka neighborhood claimed the life of a 12-year-old boy early Monday morning. According to police, the child was struck by a vehicle around 4:49 a.m. while crossing Saticoy Street outside of a marked crosswalk.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and has since been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Local authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, including the reasons for the child’s presence outside at such an early hour.
