Tori Spelling Opens Up About the Challenges of Online Plastic Surgery Rumors: “I Can’t Win”
Tori Spelling Addresses Plastic Surgery Speculation
Tori Spelling has taken to her podcast, "MisSpelling," to express her frustration with rumors regarding her appearance, particularly discussions about alleged plastic surgery. During the March 9 episode, Spelling described such speculation as "horrific" and conveyed her feelings of hurt stemming from these unfounded claims.
"Every photo I put up, people say, ‘Stop with the filler,’” Spelling remarked, adding that she is firm in her position: “I’m like, ‘I’m not!’" She further candidly stated, “I guess at this point, I should be like ‘fuck it’ and just have my whole face done because they already say I’ve had it done. I can’t win.”
The actress noted that such speculation is not new, recalling having dealt with similar rumors since her teenage years. She specifically referenced criticisms from a publication claiming she had undergone "cheek implants" and acquired a "new chin" during her time on the popular series Beverly Hills, 90210 in the 1990s. Spelling reflected on this experience as "horrific," especially considering she was just 17 at the time.
“They were like, ‘She’s had all this plastic surgery,’ so they did something like that to a 17-year-old,” she explained. “I had gotten my nose done at the time. That was it.”
In a 2021 appearance on Sirius XM’s Jeff Lewis Live, Spelling attributed her appearance to the extraordinary skills of her makeup artist, Hailey Hoff. "With contour, she does makeup like no one else," she said. "I look completely different. I look like I’ve had a nose job and it’s straight now."
Spelling has previously addressed these rumors in 2019, emphasizing that the only surgeries she has had include a nose job and breast enhancement. "I literally had my nose done and my boobs done, and that’s it. I’m constantly reading that I’ve done more,” she stated.
Through her candid discussions, Spelling seeks to clarify misconceptions and combat the relentless scrutiny that often accompanies fame.
