Southland High School Baseball Rankings: Week 7 Update
After the seventh week of the season, The Times has released its top 25 high school baseball rankings for the Southland, showcasing impressive performances and notable matchups across the board.
1. ST. JOHN BOSCO (11-3): Pitcher Julian Garcia demonstrated he is back to full health and in dominant form, moving up from second last week.
2. ORANGE LUTHERAN (8-3): Senior catcher Brady Murrietta has displayed remarkable toughness and a competitive spirit, down one spot from first.
3. NORCO (12-1): The team is preparing for a significant showdown against St. John Bosco at the Boras Classic on Tuesday at 9 a.m., maintaining its third-place ranking.
4. CORONA (11-1): Opening the Boras Classic with a match against JSerra, Corona remains ranked fourth.
5. HARVARD-WESTLAKE (13-4): James Tronstein is igniting the offense with strong performances, climbing from sixth.
6. HUNTINGTON BEACH (11-2-1): The Oilers are on a roll with a perfect 9-0 record in the Sunset League, up one place from seventh.
7. SHERMAN OAKS NOTRE DAME (14-3): Pitcher Lachlan Clark has proven his capability as a starter, down two positions from fifth.
8. SIERRA CANYON (12-3): Senior second baseman Greyson Gullage is making a comeback from injury, moving up from ninth.
9. LA MIRADA (13-4): The next challenge awaits against 11-5 Servite, slipping one position from eighth.
10. ROYAL (14-2): Catcher Peyton Visage recorded an impressive twenty-one hits, holding steady in tenth place.
11. BISHOP ALEMANY (10-4): The Warriors are poised to continue their ascent in the rankings, moving up from twelfth.
12. AYALA (12-1): The team will face significant challenges this week at the Boras Classic, up one spot from thirteenth.
13. CYPRESS (12-4): Featuring two freshmen starters in the field, Cypress remains stable at fourteenth.
