Todd Bridges and Bettijo B. Hirschi End Their 3-Year Marriage: A Grateful Reflection on Their Time Together

Todd Bridges, known for his role in Diff’rent Strokes, has announced his separation from wife Bettijo B. Hirschi. In a statement shared on January 14, Bridges, 60, expressed the difficulty of their decision, stating, "After much prayer and reflection, my spouse and I have made the difficult decision to separate."
The couple first met in January 2022, when a friend set up a dating profile for Hirschi and showed it to Bridges for "market research." Just six months later, Bridges proposed, leading to their marriage in September 2022, nine months after their initial meeting.
In his statement, Bridges reflected on their shared journey, noting, "This was not an easy choice, and it comes with a heavy heart, but also with love and gratitude for the life we shared." He added, "I thank God for the time we’ve had together, the lessons we’ve learned, and the family we’ve built. Even in this season of change, I trust He is guiding us both toward healing, peace, and new beginnings."
Bridges requested privacy as they navigate this transition and expressed a continued wish for his former partner’s happiness.
This marks Bridges’ second marriage; he was previously married to Dori from 1998 to 2012, with whom he shares two children. Bettijo Hirschi has four children from previous relationships. TMZ was the first outlet to report the news.
