Tina Fey, Jamie Dornan, and Riz Ahmed Announced as the First Guest Hosts for Saturday Night Live UK
Sky has announced its first guest hosts for the upcoming series Saturday Night Live UK, featuring former SNL cast member Tina Fey. She is set to host the inaugural episode, which will premiere on March 21, alongside musical guest Wet Leg.
Following Fey’s debut, actor Jamie Dornan will take the stage on March 28, with Wolf Alice performing as the musical guest. Riz Ahmed is scheduled to host the show on April 2, with Kasabian providing musical entertainment.
The cast for SNL UK includes Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi, and Paddy Young.
The comedy series will air on Sky One in the UK and will be available on Peacock in the U.S. the following day. Sky has commissioned six episodes of SNL UK, which will closely mirror the format of its American counterpart. Lorne Michaels, the show’s creator, has recently visited the UK to assist with the writers’ room.
SNL UK is produced by Universal Television Alternative Studio’s UK production team in conjunction with Michaels’ Broadway Video. Michaels serves as executive producer, with James Longman as Lead Producer, Liz Clare as Director, and Daran Jonno Johnson as Head Writer.
The project was commissioned by Sky executives Phil Edgar-Jones, Lisa Clark, and Cecile Frot-Coutaz, who is the CEO of Sky Studios and Chief Content Officer for Sky. Helen Kruger Bratt oversees Universal Television Alternative Studio’s UK Productions as Managing Director, while Shanna Baynard will serve as Executive in Charge of Production. Andy Charles Smith and Sam Salter will also play key roles in production executive capacities.
