TikTok chef Tineke “Tini” Younger made her return to social media on February 2, 2025, following the loss of one of her twin daughters last November. In her first TikTok video since the tragedy, she expressed gratitude to her supporters and addressed rumors surrounding the circumstances of the loss.
“I saw a lot of people saying, ‘Oh, it’s because she was overworking herself by filming videos and doing this,'” she stated. “It was not my fault. Unfortunately, that’s why twins are high risk, especially mono-di twins.”
Younger clarified that she had been releasing previous videos five weeks after filming, highlighting her commitment to maintaining a balance despite the challenges.
On November 26, Younger announced via Facebook that she had experienced a placental abruption, resulting in the loss of her daughter, Arya (Baby A). She and her husband, Antoine Wright Jr., had shared their pregnancy news in July 2025, revealing they were expecting twins; the surviving twin sister remained healthy.
Referring to her surviving child as “Baby L,” Younger emphasized her desire to protect her daughter’s privacy.
Mono-di twins, or monochorionic-diamniotic twins, share a placenta but have separate amniotic sacs. This condition carries various risks, including the possibility of placental complications, as noted by medical experts.
A placental abruption occurs when the placenta partially or completely detaches from the uterus prior to delivery, potentially restricting the baby’s oxygen and nutrient supply and presenting risks to both the mother and child, according to the Mayo Clinic.

In addition to her loss, Younger shared her experience with postpartum preeclampsia, which necessitated medical interventions, including a magnesium drip. Postpartum preeclampsia can lead to severe health issues, including seizures, according to the Mayo Clinic.
Younger described her immediate recovery period as challenging, mentioning that she “didn’t sleep for four days straight” and continues to face complications. She noted that both twins at birth weighed over ten pounds and mentioned ongoing discomfort in her ribs from the pregnancy.
She has emphasized the importance of discussing Arya with her surviving daughter and has created a memorial corner named “Arya’s corner” in their home. “It has her picture, her footprints and her urn,” Younger shared, highlighting the connection between her children. “Her sister looks at her all the time… She smiles. It’s the most aware she’s ever been is when she sees that memorial.”
Continuing her engagement with her audience, Younger confirmed plans to stick primarily to cooking content, with upcoming projects for the Super Bowl and Valentine’s Day. While she may occasionally feature her daughter in videos, she intends to avoid creating “mommy content.” “I’m going to stay [with] cooking content,” she stated, expressing enthusiasm about her plans for the year ahead.
