Tichina Arnold from ‘The Neighborhood’ Joins CBS Studios for an Exciting New Partnership
Tichina Arnold Celebrates 20-Year Partnership with CBS Studios
Actress, director, and producer Tichina Arnold is marking a significant milestone as she celebrates two decades of collaboration with CBS Studios. Recently, Arnold signed a first-look deal with the studio through her company, Queen Light Productions. This move comes as her current series, The Neighborhood, nears its conclusion, wrapping up its eighth and final season.
“I have a few projects that I’m working on. One project I’m not going to say because the last time I mentioned it, it didn’t happen with me, so I’m not going to put it out there yet. But it’s a project about a very prominent woman and singer who had a very interesting life. So I’m going to revisit that, but will leave you on a cliffhanger until I can share more,” Arnold shared, hinting at her future endeavors.
Throughout her two decades with CBS Studios, Arnold has built an impressive resume, starring in Everybody Hates Chris since its debut in 2005 and appearing in The Neighborhood, which premiered in 2018. The latter is set to conclude after over 150 episodes, with its finale slated for May. Additionally, Arnold directed her second episode of television this spring for The Neighborhood and currently stars in Comedy Central’s animated series Everybody Still Hates Chris, along with a guest role in Crutch, both available for streaming on Paramount+.
Arnold first gained widespread recognition for her role in the Fox comedy series Martin, where she portrayed Pam, an unforgettable character who served as both the nemesis of the titular character and the best friend of Gina, played by Tisha Campbell.
Reflecting on her journey with The Neighborhood, Arnold expressed gratitude for the relationships formed with the cast and crew, as well as the creative opportunities the series afforded her. “Eight seasons of working on The Neighborhood have taught me so much. It taught me that my growth in this industry was needed at this very time. What made the experience so special was that everyone genuinely wanted to be there—it was the perfect storm,” she noted.
Arnold emphasized the significance of the final filming day, describing it as “heavy and emotional.” As she bids farewell to another chapter, she encourages her colleagues to focus on gratitude. “As heartbreaking and bittersweet as it is, be grateful. We got to experience each other on a level that very few people in this business ever get to,” she advised.
In addressing her fans, Arnold conveyed enthusiasm for the series’ upcoming episodes, assuring viewers that The Neighborhood continues to deliver family-friendly enjoyment: “You’re going to laugh, and you’re going to feel good. It’s one of those shows you can sit down and watch with your whole family.”
Arnold is currently represented by IAG.
