The Winner of Season 29 of ‘The Voice’ Is Announced on NBC

The Voice has concluded Season 29 with a new champion, crowned during the finale of the “Battle of Champions” on NBC.
Alexia Jayy emerged as the winner, performing under the mentorship of Adam Levine. Runners-up included Lucas West from Team John Legend and Mikenley Brown and Liv Ciara from Team Kelly Clarkson.
Following her victory, Jayy is set to release her single “Rent Free” on April 15 at midnight ET. The song, produced by Grammy winners Jack Splash and Jim Jonsin, features a captivating blend of a haunting introduction and an energetic chorus. Regarding the track, Jayy shared, “‘Rent Free’ is about knowing your worth. Sometimes people don’t realize what they had until it’s gone, and by then you’ve already moved on. But somehow, you’re still the one on their mind.”
This season introduced a new prize for the winner, the Artist Launch kit, courtesy of Xfinity. As part of her reward, Jayy will receive a home recording studio, providing her with a space to create and record music. Additionally, Xfinity will supply her with a year of internet and mobile services, ensuring she stays connected and can share her music widely.
Jayy captivated audiences during her Blind Audition with a powerful rendition of “(You Make Me Feel Like) a Natural Woman,” impressing all three judges who turned their chairs for her. She ultimately chose Levine, who praised her as “the best voice in the competition.” During the Battle Round, she showcased her talent with a duet of the Commodores’ “Nightshift,” successfully advancing while her teammate Moses G was stolen by Team Legend.
Advancing through the Knockout Round, Jayy delivered a standout performance of Whitney Houston’s “You Give Good Love,” further impressing the coaches. In the semifinals, she took on Aretha Franklin’s “I Never Loved a Man (The Way I Loved You),” amplifying her emotional delivery.
In the finale, Jayy performed thrilling renditions of Patti LaBelle’s “Lady Marmalade” and Adele’s “One and Only,” earning a standing ovation from the coaching panel. She concluded the evening with a duet of “Sunday Morning” alongside Levine before being crowned the winner.
