Teyana Taylor Dazzles in a Black and Silver Fringe Dress at the 2026 Oscars Red Carpet
Teyana Taylor made a striking impression on the red carpet at the 2026 Academy Awards, held on March 15 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Even before the results of her nominated category were revealed, the actress already felt like a winner.
The 35-year-old star of One Battle After Another dazzled in a black and silver figure-hugging gown, which featured a sheer mesh panel at the waist and an eye-catching fringe down the length of the skirt. She accessorized her look with a silver accent necklace and subtle dangly earrings.
Taylor received her first Oscar nomination this year for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance in One Battle After Another. Competing alongside her in this category are Elle Fanning and Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas for Sentimental Value, Amy Madigan for Weapons, and Wunmi Mosaku for Sinners.
As the awards season progresses, Taylor has garnered attention for her standout fashion moments. At the Golden Globes in January, she wowed the audience in a custom Schiaparelli gown, which featured strategically placed cutouts and a striking diamond-encrusted thong. During her acceptance speech for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture, she playfully remarked, “Wait till you see my party in the back.”
Earlier this month, at the SAG Awards, Taylor continued to impress in a custom Thom Browne gown adorned with neutral swirled designs reminiscent of body paint. The one-shoulder dress was complemented by a silver sequin skirt and a white satin bow at the back. Taylor later shared that her ensemble was inspired by the Actor Awards’ theme of reimagining Hollywood glamour of the 1920s and 1930s. “SAG doesn’t usually do the theme with the dress code, and I love a theme, so I was really, really excited,” she explained. “What I dreamed of in my head I knew that only Thom would understand.”
In a recent interview with Access Hollywood, Taylor hinted at her Oscars ensemble, noting that her second fitting took place in Paris. “Getting to Paris and seeing that dress, oh, my God. I was damn near in tears. I was like, ‘Oh, this is crazy,’” she said.
For the Oscars ceremony, she may also be joined by her daughters Rue, 5, and Junie, 10, sharing the red carpet experience again. “Junie done seen it, and she’s like, ‘Oh no, I know I was with my homegirls last time, but I’m coming this time,’” Taylor revealed while discussing family attendance at the awards.
