Tehran Season 3 Premiere Date Announced, Plus Exciting News About Season 4 on Apple TV
Apple has announced that acclaimed actor Hugh Laurie has joined the cast of Tehran, coinciding with the reveal of a release date for Season 3 and a renewal for Season 4.
Season 3 of Tehran is set to premiere on January 9, with the first episode releasing that day, followed by new episodes every Friday until February 27. A first look at the upcoming season is available.
The series, created by Dana Eden, Moshe Zonder, and Maor Kohn, is penned by Tony Saint and Simon Allen, with direction by Daniel Syrkin. This new season will consist of eight episodes.
Laurie will portray Eric Peterson, a South African nuclear inspector, joining returning cast members Niv Sultan, as agent Tamar Rabinyan, Shaun Toub, and Shila Ommi. New faces include Sasson Gabai, Phoenix Raei, and Bahar Pars.
Production for Season 4 of Tehran is currently underway.
Tehran follows Tamar (Sultan), a Mossad hacker-agent who infiltrates Tehran under an assumed identity. Following her rogue actions at the end of Season 2 and the loss of her closest allies, Tamar faces the challenge of reinventing herself to regain the Mossad’s support and ensure her survival in Season 3.
The series is a co-production between Apple TV and KAN 11, Israel’s public broadcaster. Executive producers include Eden and Shula Spiegel for Donna and Shula Productions, Alon Aranya for Paper Plane Productions, and Julien Leroux for Paper Entertainment, along with Zonder, Syrkin, Omri Shenhar, Saint, Dari Shai Slutzky, and Tal Fraifeld and Ronny Perry for KAN.
