Taron Egerton Joins WME for Exciting New Opportunities
EXCLUSIVE: Taron Egerton has signed with WME in all areas following the success of his Netflix thriller, Apex.
Egerton’s latest film, which stars him alongside Charlize Theron, has received strong reviews for his portrayal of a scene-stealing villain. Apex was the top film over the past weekend after its release on the streaming platform.
Previously, Egerton garnered acclaim for his role as Sir Elton John in Dexter Fletcher’s Rocketman. His performance won him a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy and earned nominations from BAFTA and SAG-AFTRA, along with multiple Best Actor awards from critics’ groups.
In addition to his film work, Egerton starred in and produced Lionsgate’s She Rides Shotgun, receiving praise for his role. He is also involved in the Lucky Chap-produced comedy thriller Everybody Wants to F**ck Me, which is directed by Jonathan Schey. Currently, he is in production on Matt Ross’ Kockroach, alongside Chris Hemsworth and Zazie Beetz.
In 2022, he made his producing debut with the Apple TV+ limited series Black Bird, starring alongside Ray Liotta and Paul Walter Hauser. Based on the book In with the Devil, the series was critically acclaimed and earned Egerton nominations for a Golden Globe, a SAG Award, and his first Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie.
Looking ahead, Egerton will again collaborate with Dennis Lehane and Apple TV+ in 2025 on the series Smoke, inspired by the case of arsonist John Leonard Orr. For his performance, he has received a nomination for the 2026 BAFTA Television Award in the Leading Actor category.
Egerton remains represented by Range Media Partners and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern, LLP (SOWD).
