Tara Reid alleges she was drugged while at a hotel bar in Rosemont, Illinois, near Chicago. The actress confirmed the incident occurred on November 23, shortly after attending a signing event.

Reid was reportedly at the DoubleTree Chicago O’Hare Airport when she had what she described as one drink with a stranger at the hotel bar. She claimed that the last thing she remembered was blacking out after consuming that drink. Following this, she was taken out of the hotel on a stretcher by emergency personnel.

Authorities responded shortly after midnight and confirmed Reid’s transport to a local hospital for treatment. Videos obtained from the scene show paramedics assisting Reid, who appeared disoriented and struggled to articulate her situation. At one point, she was heard exclaiming, “You don’t know who I am. I am famous. I’m an actress.”

Reid’s agent later stated that she filed a police report claiming her drink was tampered with, urging others to be vigilant about their beverages. However, police reported that they had not yet received Reid’s detailed account of the events.

Investigation Developments

On November 25, Reid officially reported the incident, asserting that she had blacked out after consuming a single drink. In her report, she described seeing a group of individuals in the lobby, which made her feel suspicious. Reid recounted meeting a man, whom she identified as a successful influencer, during her time at the bar. After they exchanged phone numbers, she noticed a napkin placed over her drink.

Describing the experience, Reid stated, “The next thing I remember was waking up in the hospital around 8 hours later… I completely blacked out with no recollection of anything.” She expressed concerns that the influencer might be attempting to exploit the situation by sending her videos of her in an incapacitated state.

No Evidence Found

After launching an investigation, authorities reviewed video surveillance from the hotel. On December 3, the Rosemont Public Safety Department reported no evidence of tampering with Reid’s drink. Their statement confirmed that while surveillance captured her at the bar, it did not show anyone adding substances to her beverage.

The police noted that the bartender adhered to standard practices by covering Reid’s drink when she left. They are still waiting on hospital records to continue their inquiry but stated that as of now, no criminal activity had been established, and no suspects were under investigation.

Despite the lack of evidence, Reid has consistently asserted that she was drugged, describing the incident as a “horrifying experience” that has deeply impacted her mental health. “I felt so helpless. This has been a horrifying experience for me that is severely affecting my mental health,” she stated.

Reid added that she struggles to sleep as she grapples with the anxiety stemming from the event. “I believe I was drugged. Something happened to me,” she concluded.
