SXSW 2026: Celebrate Latin Music at the De Los Showcase with These Amazing Performers
For the third consecutive year, De Los, the Latino-focused vertical of the Los Angeles Times, will return to South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas, with notable changes for 2026. This year, the festival is expanding the music segment, traditionally held over one weekend, into a week-long celebration that also includes film, television, and interactive programming.
Amid these adjustments, the commitment to showcasing Latin music remains strong, following a record year in 2025. SXSW 2026 is anticipated to feature an unprecedented lineup of Latin artists, including those participating in the De Los showcase.
While 2024 was characterized by an intimate gathering, 2025 transformed into a vibrant celebration. Enthusiastic performances from artists such as trap corrido pioneers Arsenal Efectivo and the cumbia punk sounds of Sultanes del Yonke kept the audience dancing and engaged well into the early morning hours. Organizers aim to recreate that spirited atmosphere for this year’s showcase.
The De Los showcase will take place at Mala Fama, located at 422 E. 6th St., Austin, on Sunday, March 15, beginning at 8 p.m. The festival provides an excellent opportunity for attendees to discover emerging artists and fresh sounds, no matter where they are participating.
Featured artists at the 2026 De Los showcase include:
Hermanos Espinoza
Originating from Edinburg, Texas, brothers Joel and Leonel Espinoza infuse their Norteño sound with distinct Tejano influences. The duo gained significant attention after their debut in 2022 with the hit song “Prueba de Fuego,” which surpassed 100 million streams. Their lively, accordion-driven music is perfect for any carne asada gathering.
