Supergirl’s Teaser Trailer Features David Corenswet as Superman
DC Studios Unveils New Teaser for Supergirl Ahead of Full Trailer Launch
DC Studios has released an exciting teaser for the upcoming Supergirl film, featuring a cameo from David Corenswet as Superman. The teaser, which is set to introduce audiences to a new chapter in the superhero saga, drops just a day before the full trailer is expected to be unveiled.
The brief preview showcases Krypto, Supergirl’s loyal canine companion, wandering through a cluttered room filled with discarded clothes and trash. In the background, viewers can hear Corenswet’s voice as Clark Kent, appearing on a screen, delivering an emotional video message to his cousin.
“Hey, it’s me, Clark,” he says. “You know, I’m just worried cause you know… We miss you. Umm, I was just touching base to see when you think you might be coming back.”
The teaser then seamlessly transitions from Clark’s video to a shot of Supergirl’s costume and her turning up the volume on her music while holding an iPod.
Anticipation for the upcoming film has been building since the release of a Super Bowl trailer last month. The full Supergirl trailer is slated for release on March 30, with the film scheduled to hit theaters on June 26.
Based on Tom King’s 2022 comic book series, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, Supergirl is adapted for the big screen by Ana Nogueira. In the comic, Supergirl, along with a young alien named Knolle, embarks on a journey across the galaxy to seek vengeance against Krem of the Yellow Hill, responsible for the cold-blooded murder of Knolle’s father.
The film stars Alcock in the lead role, supported by Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hill, Eve Ridley as Ruthye Marye Knoll, David Krumholtz as Zor-El, Emily Beecham as Alura In-Ze, and Jason Momoa as Lobo.
The release of the full trailer is eagerly awaited by fans who are eager to see how this new interpretation of the beloved hero unfolds.
