Summer House EP Discusses Possible Ozarks Spinoff and West Wilson’s Role at Reality TV Summit
"Summer House" Sparks Speculation of Expansion Amid Recent Scandal
The popular reality television series Summer House has garnered significant attention following a recent scandal involving its cast. This has led to discussions about potential expansion beyond its original setting in the Hamptons.
In addressing the prospects of a new project in the Ozarks, executive producer Weinstock stated, “We’re always looking for an extension of the show. It’s not simple. The bar is very high.” He emphasized that any new location must uphold the narrative elements that have made Summer House successful.
When probed about West Wilson, a figure at the center of the Summer House controversy and rumored to be connected to the potential Ozarks spinoff, Weinstock remained noncommittal. “I can’t say,” he responded.
Summer House debuted on Bravo in 2017, showcasing a group of friends from New York City who share a summer home in the Hamptons, providing a respite from their urban lives. Currently, the series is concluding its tenth season, with several cast members set to transition to a new spinoff titled In the City. This upcoming show will follow the cast as they navigate the challenges of life and relationships during the fall season.
