Lifetime Announces New Films Featuring Stana Katic and Nancy Travis
Lifetime has announced the casting of Stana Katic, known for her role in Castle, and Nancy Travis, celebrated for Last Man Standing, as the leads in two upcoming movies based on real events. The films, slated for release in Spring, are penned and produced by Conor Allyn and Benjamin Anderson.

Nancy Travis in Rescued By Faith
The first film, Rescued By Faith: The Connie and Larry Van Oosten Story, will air on Saturday, April 4, at 8/7c p.m. Starring Travis as Connie Van Oosten, the film recounts the harrowing true story of Connie and her husband Larry, played by Mike Pniewski. In 2017, the couple finds themselves at the mercy of a masked gunman who abducts them from their home.
While imprisoned in a hidden bunker, they face days of torment as their captor attempts to steal their life savings. Connie musters the courage to discreetly notify authorities during a tense bank trip, sparking a desperate search for their rescue. As time passes, their faith is tested against a captor with a disturbing connection to their past.
Rescued By Faith is produced by Best on Best for Lifetime, with Allyn and Anderson serving as executive producers. Lee Gabiana directs from a script authored by Allyn and Anderson.

Stana Katic in Kidnapped in Her Own Home: The Martha Carelli Story
The second film, Kidnapped in Her Own Home: The Martha Carelli Story, is set to premiere on Saturday, May 2, at 8/7c p.m. Featuring Katic as Martha Carelli, the narrative follows her harrowing experience when an escaped convict takes her hostage in her home.
Martha is compelled to drive the criminal’s getaway vehicle while engaging in a tense psychological struggle for survival. Throughout her ordeal, she skillfully leaves clues for authorities, aiming to guide them to her location. With her captor’s volatility escalating and another hostage’s life hanging in the balance, Martha must rely on her ingenuity and resilience to escape.
Kidnapped in Her Own Home is also produced by Best on Best for Lifetime, with Allyn and Anderson as executive producers. The script is based on Ann Rule’s non-fiction account, The Painter’s Wife, and Traci Hays directs.
