Social Media Influencer Faces Trial for Burglary Related to Dating Apps
Influencer Mia Ventura to Stand Trial for Alleged Burglary Scheme
LOS ANGELES – Adva Lavie, a 28-year-old social media influencer known as “Mia Ventura,” has been ordered to stand trial on multiple felony charges. Prosecutors allege that Lavie used dating apps to target wealthy individuals and subsequently burglarize them.
On March 23, following a preliminary hearing, a judge ruled there was enough evidence to charge Lavie with six felony counts, including residential burglary and grand theft. The charges stem from incidents that reportedly occurred between 2023 and 2025 in affluent neighborhoods such as Westlake Village, West Hollywood, and Beverly Hills.
Lavie is accused of cultivating relationships through dating apps, posing as a girlfriend or travel companion to gain access to the homes of her victims. Investigators allege she stole cash, gold, and high-end designer goods during these encounters.
Currently, Lavie is on an ankle monitor and has pleaded not guilty to all charges. She has been ordered to avoid contact with the victims.
“This ruling means the evidence in this case will now be presented before a jury,” said Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman. “At her trial, we will prove beyond a reasonable doubt that this defendant exploited trust built through online relationships to gain access to victims’ homes and steal from them.”
Lavie’s arraignment is set for April 6 at the Van Nuys Courthouse. If convicted on all counts, she could face a maximum sentence of over 11 years in state prison.
