Snoop Dogg to Bring Holiday Spirit with Live Performance at Lions-Vikings NFL Game on Netflix

Just three years after co-headlining the West Coast-themed Super Bowl LVI halftime show, Snoop Dogg is set to return to the football field for Netflix’s NFL Christmas Gameday Live.
Snoop Dogg will headline the halftime performance during the Detroit Lions vs. Minnesota Vikings game on December 25. The event will stream live on Netflix from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, starting at 4:30 p.m. ET. Netflix announced the performance on Tuesday, December 16, revealing Snoop’s show, titled “Snoop’s Holiday Halftime Party,” will feature special guests and performances of his Billboard Hot 100 hits, including the 2004 track “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” featuring Pharrell.
“NFL, Netflix and your uncle Snoop on Christmas Day? We’re servin’ up music, love and good vibes for the whole world to enjoy,” Snoop said in a statement. “That’s the kind of holiday magic Santa can’t fit in a bag.”
To celebrate the announcement, Netflix released a festive teaser on its social media platforms, narrated by funk pioneer George Clinton. “’Twas the night before Christmas and all through the crib, the stockings hung proper, the vibe feeling big,” Clinton declared. “As the snow kept on falling, the beat kept calling, from Minneapolis to L.A., where the champs come to play…”
At the end of the teaser, Snoop added, “We’re about to light up this Christmas in a real way,” while presenting a tray of his signature blue cookies and promoting one of his cookbooks. “How’s that for a halftime snack?”
Snoop Dogg’s upcoming halftime show follows Beyoncé’s performance at Netflix’s inaugural Christmas Day celebration last year. Beyoncé treated her hometown of Houston to the first live performance of tracks from her Grammy-winning album *Cowboy Carter*. She honored rodeo culture and the legacy of the black cowboy while inviting special guests including Post Malone and Shaboozey. Earlier this year, the show, affectionately referred to as the “Beyoncé Bowl,” earned Beyoncé her first Emmy Award for outstanding costumes in a variety, nonfiction, or reality programming.
The Christmas Day doubleheader will begin with the Dallas Cowboys facing the Washington Commanders at 1 p.m. ET, followed by the Lions vs. Vikings at 4:30 p.m. ET. Both games and Snoop Dogg’s halftime show will be available for streaming on Netflix.
